ScreenshotOne alternative hosted in Saudi Arabia
Last updated: 26 September 2026
ScreenshotOne is a screenshot API built on Chromium. Sahifa implements the same /take endpoint and parameter names, so switching usually means changing the host name and key. This page compares the two, using what each service states on its own website (September 2026).
At a glance
| ScreenshotOne | Sahifa | |
|---|---|---|
| Where pages are rendered | United States (Google Cloud, DigitalOcean) and parts in the EU (Hetzner) | Saudi Arabia (Oracle Cloud, Jeddah); screenshots and PDFs never leave the Kingdom |
| Rendering engine | Chromium (Puppeteer) | Chromium, with Arabic fonts installed (Noto Naskh, Noto Sans and Noto Kufi Arabic, Amiri) |
| Storage | Not stored by default; cached up to 30 days if you enable caching | Not stored: rendered in memory and returned in the same response |
| Arabic and right-to-left | Not stated in the documentation | Built for it: Arabic documentation, right-to-left examples, fonts preinstalled |
| Proxy locations | Choice of IP country on the Growth plan and above (no Middle East listed) | Requests leave from Jeddah |
| Free tier | 100 screenshots a month | 100 renders a month (up to 10 a day), watermarked |
| Entry paid plan | Basic: $17 for 2,000 screenshots | Developer: SAR 59 (about $16) for 2,000 renders, PDF included |
| API | GET/POST https://api.screenshotone.com/take, access_key | GET/POST https://api.sahifa.dev/take, the same parameters and access_key |
When ScreenshotOne is the better fit
If you need screenshots taken from many countries, very high request rates, or integrations that ScreenshotOne offers, it is a mature choice.
When Sahifa is the better fit
- The pages you capture contain customer data that must stay in Saudi Arabia.
- You capture Arabic pages and want correct fonts and right-to-left layout.
- You need both screenshots and PDFs from one plan and one key.
Moving from ScreenshotOne
Change api.screenshotone.com to api.sahifa.dev and use your Sahifa key as access_key. Common parameters (url, html, format, viewport_width, viewport_height, full_page, device_scale_factor, selector, block_ads, block_cookie_banners, dark_mode, delay) behave the same. See the screenshot reference.
Try it
Create a free Sandbox account and send the same HTML to both services. Questions: support@sahifa.dev.
